Featuring Silver Icing Yoga Wear Vancouver

Silver Icing Yoga Clothing Vancouver

There's no denying active Vancouverites are fond of comfort when it comes to fashion choices and we prefer to look awesome at the same time. That's why our current feature is Silver Icing, who has launched their line of high-quality affordable yoga clothing in Vancouver and it's now available online.

If there has been one thing synonymous with style and comfort in yoga wear up until now it's been expense. Sure there are always cheap knock-offs, often synthetic with a dime-a-dozen look and feel. Silver Icing yoga wear is refreshingly affordable for the look and quality.  The tees have a gauzy-like lightness to the bamboo viscose jersey making them great for layering and the functional basics serve well as smashing street-wear as well as exercise gear.

Why Bamboo?

Silver Icing Yoga Clothing Vancouver

Bamboo jersey has fabulous properties for active wear. Its light, breathable and absorbent. If you're handed cotton jersey and then your handed a bamboo viscose cotton blend your hands will tell you the story. The bamboo viscose jersey feels undeniably superior.

Let's face it, whether you are into supporting local designers, you love bamboo for the feel, or you are looking for an alternative to conventional cotton its all secondary to style, function and value. That's not what we think about how people purchase clothing, its what we know. Silver Icing answers all those requirements and offers Vancouverites a long-awaited quality addition to the "extravagant vs inferior" yoga clothing options available locally now.

Portobello Market

Portobello Market

Portobello Market re-opened at Creekside Community Center this weekend. The new location is an excellent shift and seems to have brought new vendors and new shoppers too. It's visible from the street which is good for marketing and traffic, it's bright, it's a gorgeous location and it breathes much needed life into the Olympic Village. Parking is fine if you don't mind walking a couple blocks, exploring that area is pleasant so certainly no complaints there.

There are some new organic fashion finds on the roster including these little beauties, Loop Neckwear created by Michelle English. Michelle started out by constructing an original Christmas gift for her sister out of a t-shirt and then requests started pouring in for more. Since then she has evolved her Neckwear into a beautifully presented fashion piece.

The great news is she is now offering her fabric necklaces/scarves in eco-friendly fibers such as bamboo viscose, soy viscose and modal. These are the colors available in those textiles: grey, fushia, cream, white, slate and mink.

Would love to tell you they are available online but it doesn't seem so as of yet. If the option to ship them anywhere in Canada and the US arrives Shirtseed will be sure to post the link. Until then, you can find Loop Neckware at Lüt boutique or Parliament Interiors Gastown.
